Path of Exile Mobile is the mobile version of the popular PC game. This action RPG is set in a dark fantasy world with visceral action combat, powerful items, and deep character customization. It's developed in-house by Grinding Gear Games and contains the same elements as its PC and console counterparts.

This portable version is not a skimmed-down version either. It brings the full Path of Exile gaming experience, with just some technical adjustments that make it suitable for mobile devices. That includes alternations in the user interface to make it compatible with touchscreen plays.

Bite-sized action gameplay

Path of Exile Mobile is still similar to its PC or console versions. It has the same deep systems that the original iterations offer such as character customization, skills and inventory upgrades, and a stats menu. This smooth transition from the console and PC version to mobile is largely due to the game having been developed in-house instead of getting farmed out to an external studio.

However, unlike its PC counterpart, the mobile version only allows you to play for a shorter period given that mobile devices have limited power compared to gaming computers or consoles. On the bright side, this shorter playing period works well with the game's endgame mapping content. This system contains drops and the most loot in the game, making it the ideal mode to explore if you only have a few minutes to spare.

You can also play campaigns and other modes if you have more time on your hands and enough power on your mobile device. Other elements present in the game are skill binds, flasks, and the same gears you’d expect to see on any part of it. All of these contents, combined with the portability of a mobile game, make it enjoyable to play wherever you go.

Transition to touch-screen gameplay

Path of Exile Mobile features characters from the original Path of Exile game. Its narrative unfolds two decades before the events in the first game. Players step into the role of a prisoner who serves as a scout for Inquisitor Dominus and the Inquisitorial Order. Tasked with venturing through the portals generated by the Map Device, they must explore the enigmatic dream world and unearth its hidden secrets.

In the mobile version, players can expect a top-down perspective of the game world, enabling movement via a virtual D-pad positioned on the left side of the screen. On the right, intuitive buttons will provide access to various skills, powers, shortcuts, and healing capabilities. Additionally, touch menus will facilitate character upgrades, inventory management, and interactions with in-game characters, ensuring a seamless and engaging mobile gaming experience.
